I have had the very same thing, a few weeks back, one of my cells was dry and the battery monitor was indicating that the alternator was giving over 50 continuously to the battery. and a temperature of nearly 60 degrees.
I didn't stop thinking in the ejector seat of James bond, as my battery its just under the driver seat. so I stop the car run with the auxiliary batteries and disconnect the starter battery. I remove everything and clean it, as the gas stick to the copper and leave it black. electrical contact cleaner work fine for me. cheers |

excossack,
if you decide to replace the battery, Tim @ mobilecentre usually has some good deals on odyssey batteries. HTH |

Cheers Bpman. It will have to be replaced at some point as its the 2nd battery that runs all the radios and charges while out on events! 1999 Defender TD5 110
