May be possible theft
A friend of mine came out of his house on saturday morning to find his intake vent on the floor next to his defender, may be unrelated to a potential theft any thoughts on this , thanks Jay

if it was a standard one, it may be that it fell off on its own due to poor design/build. I fitted a KBX because mine self detached on a regular basis DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

I've lost two in 18 months. They just break-off leaving the plastic pins still embedded in the wing.

I fitted a RAI the other day and mine fell into my hands as soon as I touched it. I remember the early ones were quite difficult to remove.

Before I binned mine to fit an RAI I had already replaced the remnants of the pathetic plastic spikes with screws.
