I got my baby "Faith" back after a long week of missing her.
She is completely professionally Dinitroled & waxed on & in all her chassis and underbody(!) Had a new NAS tow bar step fitted (Bearmach), & a jetwash + valet. Learned that Terrafirma wheel spacers are not the best..... Many thanks to Bob Neville for tipping me on the excellent quality of service West Somerset Land Rovers (http://www.westsomersetlandrovers.com/) provide, & to Richard & his staff for the care they took. This weekend, time permitting, the big wheel arches go on, & several other bits and pieces. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender |

Just enjoyed it - checked kit and then felt sorry for other drivers in mere cars.

Can only endorse Kitoper's comments. It was a real pleasure to meet Mrs and Mr bpman here in Geneva, only a pity that they did not bring the ICE. Oh, Mr. bpman, your ICE is not just a "cousin" of our Swiss SVX and Hunters, the ICE actually has the same Swiss roots as ours. Safe returns today Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Putting Betty's interior back together - front headlining back in now sunroof leak seems to have been eliminated by Dave's strip down and service ...
Drilled couple of holes in rear headlining to fix into centre spar to remove sagging - worked Bit more dynamat fitted under seats and to battery/ecu box lids ... |

Replaced the clutch master cylinder but somehow manage to damage the thread of the push rod!
Hopefully found where the water enters the roof and drips onto my right knee. Looks like where the gutter meets the windscreen surround had a little bit of sealant that looked like it had peeled away, so removed the excess with a knife and found some water behind it.. Fingers crossed! 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |
