Someone educate me please. I'm looking at pics of some unloved rusty steel, disintegrating, half buried in the undergrowth and the seller is looking for £250 o.n.o.

Where is the value in this? At £250 is it actually worth salvaging. conserving, restoring or not?

Think we're looking at different photos, I'm seeing a 88" chassis needing a little tidying.

Worth the money, but I'm clearing out not buying at moment so not for me I'm afraid.

Good luck with sale though! Thumbs Up

point accepted.it is indeed slightly buried but hasnt been there long and is worth repairing.it has a couple of dodgy patches but otherwise not bad.

not everybody wants or can afford a brand new chassis and if this can help someone out all well and good.

it will soon be put under cover anyway Thumbs Up Very Happy

...... and if it's worth repairing as you say - it will look a whole lot different after shotblasting, new steel welded onto it, a decent prep/paint job including keeping the tin worm at bay and maybe someone extends the life of their S2.

At least there is a refreshing honesty about your sales pictures - no fancy stage setting and gilding the lily.
