So, Guess I have been a tad lazy with uploading any updates for my Defender. So back tracking through my phone I have returned to where I Left off with updates, Well pictures as that is all we are really here for.
So Early January it snowed and I helped people get home. My Girlfriends family completely abused the privilege of having me around and used me to come and get them when they got stuck. These are pictures atop a hill that has the monument nicknamed 'The Golden Globe Monument' mainly because there is a monument with a golden globe on it. I sought solace up here as there is very little signal and with the snow on the roads, even less people Here are some pictures. Looks nice in the snow! Do the DRLs not extinguish when headlights are on? An engine to TDi for!

So after this I had a little panic as I thought every Tom, Dick and Harry were out to steal my Speaker lights, after speaking to hidden, mystical sources I was advised that another layer of protection would be an A bar as this generally needs to be taken off to remove the SVX style lighting cluster…….So I got one and fitted it, then cleaned it and took some photo’s of me in our disabled spot at work. Please note that due to us having minimal parking and no registered disabled persons working on sight we are permitted to utilise these spaces. If and when these are needed by handicapped persons then we move immediately. (hopefully side stepped that land mine)

In February 2013 I participated in a forum inspired Wales trip led by 4x4 Adventures. It was the first time I had used the 110 in earnest and offroading was a bit squeeky bum time due to the shinyness and not wanting to scratch my alloys . As with the last one I went on in 2012 all I had to clear off was mud when I got home

Later in the year my girlfriend and I decided to venture into France and drove to Mt Saint Michel in North West France.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Dont let those nice pictures fool you, we had thunder and lightning that evening, being our first ever night in a roof tent we had a lot of fun looking out the windows in surprising dryness. another great experience as it was sunny the next morning enabling us to put away a dry tent! we then drove to Paris and spent the night there, got some fun pictures of outside the Eiffel Tower Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge All in all a great time, defender drove flawlessly and got a few miles on the wrong side of the road under my belt. =================================== Steve 90 xs sw in Stonoway Grey - Sold 110 USW X-TECH |
