More than likely the foam seal under the windscreen and / or the D brackets either end of the windscreen. Either way, sounds like the dealers black mastic gun will be coming out
A common problem I'm afraid. |

I had a very similar leak. Again only when parked on a slope. The dealer fixed it by a bead of silicone in the join between the windscreen and bulkhead. BM52

It would be nice if after 65 years of building them they could have sorted it out at the production stage instead of having to inconvenience their customers. 2005 Td5 90 XS

I had the same problem on my 60 plate Defender and I lost count of how many times it went back to Land Rover. They sealed every hole on the front but the water was coming in between the screen and the rubber ( where the glass sits against the rubber ) Once they sealed this it's been fine. This section is not sealed at the manufacturing stage.

On mine water ran off the gutter, back along the underside of the gutter and underneath the door seal (at the top of the door)then dripped onto the door glass, I used a blob of sealant on the underside of the roof gutter right on the edge, to create a "drip groove",only get water in when I'm using the hose pipe.
A drip groove fer those who dunt no wot one is \/\/\/ Click image to enlarge |

I have also got a similar leak on my 13plate 2.2.
I also get puddles in the rear on top of the wheel arches but only after heavy rain. I have not had time to get it back to the dealers yet, I do sometimes wonder if I would be better off sorting these problems out myself! Kev |
