i dare say there is a cable on the back that has either come adrift heater box end or the back of the control, i would check the heater box first via engine bay. Cheers

As JST mentions or even possibly broke, I have had it. If it is the case they cost hardly anything but they are a sod of a job to do. Or can be at least.
