I would say yes, earth fault then.
Those pre Td5 guages have 3 connections; power, the signal "feed" (be it temp, fuel level etc) and an earth which connects to the metal back of the guage itself... should be a small black wire looping fromt each guage, usually under the thumbscrew that holds the "U" shaped bracket in place. then connects to the other million black earth wires behind the dash. |
