Search ebay for 'econoseal', which I'm pretty sure are the same pattern. Male and female in a variety of configurations are available. Darren

I may be wrong but are they not the same connectors used on the NAS style lights? You could always try the dealers? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Yes, they are, although not just the NAS lights but the standard ones, too.
I have a selection of the Econseal ones to fit NAS lights to my Sankey trailer at some point. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

They're not Econoseal connectors, they're MQS connectors.
The connectors on the seats are female - Will the Defender's factory wiring work with Exmoor (Waeco) heated seats? The Defender's heated seat connectors are only 2-way - live & earth. I believe that the Exmoor (Waeco) heated seats are wired for high and low heat settings. . The lamp units (NAS and standard) use Econoseal connectors. The heated seats use MQS connectors, which are the same as the connectors used on the front wing side indicator repeaters. . Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |

Is it possible to take the live and earth from the waeco heaters and run them through the original Landrover switches as an on/off switch to keep the factory look but have the waeco switches mounted elsewhere to keep the two setting function? Yes, that would work. This is the wiring diagram for the Waeco MSH-50 heated seat kit - Click image to enlarge . Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' Last edited by PaulMc on 5th Aug 2017 11:08am. Edited 1 time in total |

So I presume you would just take the live and earth into the Landrover switch before the twin setting switch and that should be it?

I think I linked the blue and white wires together from the seat heater and connected to the yellow from the original landrover heated seat connection. Then the brown from the seat heater connected to the grey from the original landrover heated seat connection. This way I have the full heat only when I switch the landrover dash switch on and not two stage heating.
If any body understands what I mean by the above I'll be surprised Here's a photo: Click image to enlarge Last edited by DAZ110 on 6th Oct 2013 9:59am. Edited 1 time in total |

No, just the live, like this -
Click image to enlarge For clarity, I haven't shown the dash illumination and earth connections in the above diagram, just the 'live in' and 'switched live out' on Pins 1 & 4. The Defender switches are wired, as follows - Pin 1 - Live in Pin 2 - Dash Illumination Pin 3 - Not used Pin 4 - Switched live out Pin 5 - Earth Click image to enlarge .
