Hi Steve
I get around 25mpg on my new 90, 4000 miles on the clock. Just done 1,200 miles up to Scotland, touring around and back again, and still 25. Tried to keep below 70 on the motorway but it made no difference. Hmm ok so you getting 300 from a tank then 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs
3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |

The new engine is churning out a constant 300miles every 52ltrs the old one was horrendous, please remember mine is fully loaded all the time, towing is a different story add a loaded Ifor and 200 a tank at best. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Consistent 300 a tank. I fill around warning light time.
It has been improving and I expect to see some more improvement with some more miles on the clock. is a 90 tank smaller then?! i get near 400 (at calc'd 26.7mpg) from my 2.4 110 Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Too early to give you an accurate picture since it only has 600 on the clock so far.
But exactly 400 on the first tank with 67 litres, so 27 mpg from a 110 SW. 1970 Series 2A 88" |

Ok i get 8-8.6 assuming i have this correct at 4.546l per imp gal that be 22.7 -
24.4 mile/gal on a fully loaded 110 with roof racks and ladder on top. Or roughly 350 miles on a tank (66l) 2013 Orkney Grey 110 SE on order should be here on 20/04 |

With the 130 I get around 340 miles (70 l)
I can live with the fact my Transporter could make it 230+ miles easy on the same amount of diesel, and it's tank was 5 liter larger with a far more reliable meter. The thing that annoys me about the Defender is its meter is far from reliable and last time it scared the sh!t out of me when it started to run rough less than 20 milies after the fuel warning light came on. Filled it up and guess what. Only 68 liters. I thought the 130 had a 75 liter tank? Seriously considering a larger tank now as I love the Defender to bits, but the short range just annoys the hell out of me... |

Dont forget to read the user manual, the defender will cut out 3 times to remind you its low on fuel and the final cutout will still leave 1 l of fuel in the tank. The gauge may be more accurate than you think it does this to prevent running the pump dry diesel act as a lubricant for the pump and this also prevents air from getting in the system.
From memory it brings on the light at 9l remaining then allows it to drop to 4l runs lean for 1l shuts down, simple restart runs lean for another 1l shuts down and finally runs lean for another 1l wont restart to protect the components. I assume the splutter is caused by running lean in the attempt to get more miles at the cost of comfort and power. Its not a good idea to run a tank dead empty anyway there is a greater possibility to suck crap into the filters and worse water. Now if only the fitted a descent engine to the car it would be more economical like the 3l isuzu swap the turbo for a supercharger and viola reliability and boatloads of grunt, economical and no need for anti stall. 2013 Orkney Grey 110 SE on order should be here on 20/04 |

Had my 22 110 for 18 months now. I get a constant low 400 covering all driving types (from a little off road to motorways). I have to say that better quality fuel helps.
