Mantec RAI height?
Hello, newbie here.... Sad

Can anybody tell me if the Mantec RAI sits higher than the standard roofline (not the lower bit above the front seats, the horizontal bit over the load space if you get my drift). I've got about 2" clearence on the roof as I drive through my garage door.....!

Cheers for any help or pix's!

Hello evisu, I am travelling at the moment, but will be back tomorrow and can send some pics. I have the OEM RAI which is the Mantec one. It is at higher than the front cabin roofline, but not higher than the roofline over the loadspace. I also have a garage height problem so am sensitive to your question.

The top of my Landrover(which I believe is the same as the Mantec one) one is 1945mm above Ground. This is based upon standard front suspension, but with 265/75r16 tyres.

A more accurate measurement may be from the underside of the roof gutter which is 180mm. The top of the roof is generally 190-195mm at its' highest point above the underside of the roof gutter.

Hope this helps

if its a LandRover RAI it is made by Mantec but it has a wider lower profile head if you buy from Mantec they are not allowed to sell you the exact OEM model so it has Mantec on the side where the LR one has Defender and the head is different.
If you look at the photos you will see the top of the mantec RAI is inline with the bottom of the roof rack crossbars which is well clear of the roof.

Thanks.
Here's some pictures to demonstrate my concern. I think the advice provided answers my question. Looks like I'll be ordering/fitting a RAI sharpish! Huge thanks to all that responded!
