Andy
You are talking !! Yes some Britpart parts are suspect but they supply many oem branded parts as do Allmakes and Bearmach. I have many Britpart parts fitted to my 110 and to date had no issues with any of them. Rant over Simon |

The majority of it is down to how much you have got to spend, best bet is stick to oe parts from Britpart stuff which has a G at the end of the part number as Britpart branded stuff is a cheap option to this hence the phrase you get what you pay for CSK Automotive

Hi Andy Interesting you should say that for I had a pair of their rear mud flaps put on 4 months ago and one has split and I'm looking to get them to replace it.
Looking at them now I would have preferred to have had rubber ones as these plastic type jobbies are brittle. DRW I built a garage for my Mini With a place for everything and everthing in its place. Ten years down the line there's a Mini in there somewhere, and all's where it should be!!!! Ho hum |

This man said What I had to say ! Good advice leave well alone. Britparts are for murdering land rovers, or irritating spouses while in the land rovers |

It won't come as any surprise then that Britpart have chosen not to reply to my request for a replacement part, and it's not cause there's nobody looking at my messages cause they replied to my other message!!!!!
Right then who to ask for a set of Landrover mud flaps? DRW I built a garage for my Mini With a place for everything and everthing in its place. Ten years down the line there's a Mini in there somewhere, and all's where it should be!!!! Ho hum |

As already stated, Britpart as a company are trade and you have to purchase their parts through a dealer. Likewise if you have any issues you take them up with the supplying dealer as you would with anything you buy (you buy a new LR from your preferred delaer, not LR in Solihull and likewise if it goes wrong you go back to the dealer not the factory). Plenty of places sell their parts so if you have the BP item code just Google it, you will come up with umpteen people who sell it and you will see that many charge different prices. ONE LIFE, GET IT! |

I have used all three fuel, oil and air filters by britpart on my puma and they all do fine. When you buy britpart, make sure you by the oem product which is the same as Genuine LR. Only difference is the packaging. Stick with that, i am sure you will be fine.

Buy some official land rover flaps. Wont split or break unless you phusically brake them. They arent all thatore expensive and they look 900times better than britpart money well spent as youll not need to replace them due to failure

I bought a steering dampener which was a Britpart, the bushed were included with it so we fitted them. My Landys still in the process of being rebuilt so it's not even been on the road but the yellow bushes have just melted/broke to bits while sitting their? Doesn't fill me with conference that the dampener is going to fair any better A word to the wise isn’t necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice.
Between the two evils I always pick the one I never tried before. |
