Using Tow Connector for Battery Conditioner connection?
I've read on this forum or elsewhere that it is possible to use the towing electrical connector to conveniently attach a battery conditioner/charger (CTEK etc)? This avoids the need to open the seat box; have the door ajar and hence the vehicle can remain locked and alarmed.

I have a 13-pin Euro towing connector which is my only external electrical interface on my 2008 2.4 Puma 90. I've found connecting the eyelets on my CTEK conditioner difficult as the battery terminal screws are designed to tighten the connectors on the terminal posts and don't have any convenient flat surfaces.

Is this tow connector suggestion correct and safe? Trevor Wright

Thumbs Up

Done on mine - see post here:

and due to position of battery probably a far safer and definitely more convenient solution, especially if vehicle is not garaged.
