I got a auto gleam kit from my moto factors. It had a soft top cleaner and a seperate waterproofer. Came up ok with a bit of work. I did think of trying a tent company like blacks of Greenock as they make canvas tents

The issue is the "new" tilts are not made of a traditional material such as canvas and so the use cleaning products do not seem applicable?

Do you mean mohair roof or the industrial Vinyl type that adorns yer typical MOD landrover, either way try something from here,as with everything "fabric" don't use to high a concentration as it could make the fabric brittle.
Haven't used any of these but detailers recommend it. You also need to seal it after,it will help keep it cleaner. http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/cabriol...-care.aspx http://www.renovointernational.com/products/dryclean.php http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/30...cat18.html |

Kitchen general spray diluted 50/50 with hot water, spray and use a non stick scouring pad, should work a treat.
