I've noticed there are some real cheap plastic fuses around, even the legs seem to be made from plastic and just coated in a thin layer of metal.
Checked mine, they do not seem to come from land rover but accessories seem to include these. I never use them, only quality fuses, I'm going to change all/most my fuses to the "trip" fuses ... |

I got some lamp units for mine from a supplier and the contacts inside for the bulb were flimsy. It brought up issues which shouldnt have been there as the looms were new. Wasnt happy and replaced with genuine.

Thanks - are the manually trippable ones worth the extra cost?

At £17:50 inc VAT each I think not. Ask yourself how many have you had rupture and had to replace? Me none in 5 years. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Good point Steve but hard to justify....even for me! Have got a couple of Releco 12v relays now they are a good investment as they are so versatile with the latching setting and manual operating tab and the indicator! http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/product/3503...stBid=tzit If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! That's a fair few fuses to replace on a Puma Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |
