Sorted out my flooring. NOt sure what LR make the MY13 model year rubber flooring out of but it's rubbish. This is on a 2 week old vehicle. It's caused by my jeans rubbing the corner when I get in and out.

So got some gaffer tape and tidied it up. Thought about speaking to the dealer about a warrany claim but they would just have put the same stuff down again. So decided that this was a better option. May mention it at first service.

Wow, didn't realise it was such a common issue. I might look at those.

Went to Hearne Bay for lunch then across town to pick up a Rapier trailor I won on eBay. As it was already painted black, LED lights fitted, military plugs swapped over and a jockey wheel fitted I couldn't resist.
Turns out seller is a forum member. nice to meet you Ashley. _______________________________

Finished wiring the electric windows for my front doors. i used all the wiring extracted from a Td5 loom and blended it into my 50th (300tdi age) loom. tested the central locking wiring on the front doors and thankfully they are functioning. Wasn't looking forward to having to get the wiring connectors back through the holes in the bulkhead. Next week will be to connect the central locking wiring to 10AS unit.

Picked up some timber for workshop building purposes.

Note to self, must invest in a decent-sized trailer so I can avoid having to hump stuff on to the roof all the time.

24-litre W12 engine, rated at 502bhp at 2200rpm, and with a scarcely comprehensible 1184lb ft of torque. Enough to push it to a top speed of 167mph.

It is also the car that holds the Brooklands Outer Circuit record, set in 1935 at a truly astounding 143.44mph.

Pulled it again today, sat in it and now am waiting for some pictured to get sent to me. Steeped in history and am likely the youngest to have ever pulled it (24). It is insured for 4million and Rowan Atkinson is one of only 4 in the world insured to drive it.

Will start a thread when I have something to fill it with Smile ===================================

Drained the oil, didn't put bucket in the right spot (the oil shoots surprisingly far once the drain plug is completely removed) and spend a nice half hour cleaning up oil. Good thing I had put a tarp down.

2 rolls of paper towels and our whole supply of rags later everything as good as new.

This being the sub tropics (26C is cold here) and Malaysian diesel being 500 PPM if not more, decided to go with "Fuchs TITAN UNIMAX ULTRA MC 10W-40" Put in 6.75 litre of the stuff.

Fit a Difflock Drain Plug, no more oil spills...
