When i blip throttle it goes off may be idle is low ?

Will the ECU let it idle low ? My money would be on a short in the wiring probably through a chaffed wire somewhere as the oil pressure switch is earth operated.
I had this problem on a non LR car some years ago where the oil light would come on at tickover. 2005 Td5 90 XS Steve |

Is your oil pressure low? Why assume it is an electrical fault? www.td5.org

Temporarily substitute a pressure gauge and see what readings you get.

i wouldnt be using it if it was me i have changed a few oil pumps on these with the same problem get a gauge on there asap

I had this tried everything was the oil pump in the end. Mine was caused by the turbo failing and me not cleaning the sump properly. Expensive mistake but would be worse if the pump gives up.

As tested by beadles land rover 6to8 psi at idle 75 psi at 4000 rpm

TD5 Engine pressure at idle cold 3.0 bar 43.5 lbf.in3 low oil pressure switch opening 0.2 - 0.6 bar 3.0 -8.8 ibf in3

14 psi =1 bar

Yeah that pressure is to low get that oil pump changed asap
