No easy way, sorry. Remove the two side trims and the lower if you have them then unscrew the small metal strip at the top. By rights you ought to take the head lining out too but I found the metal strip covers what little bit of damage you do. Next drill out all 20 rivets. The frame is also bonded with double sided pads. From the back gentlyprise out the frame. It Iis in two halves which are held by two fish plates on the short sides. Take it apart and work all the old rivets out of the channel so they don't rattle. Also take the time to get new felt for the runners keeps the draughts out. Assembly is the reverse order. Hth. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Thanks for the reply Lambert, to be honest I'm about to recover the headlining and side panels anyway so I'll do it all in one go. Sounds like a long job, that'll teach me! Cheers

Thanks Lambert, I did the window today, after taking the roof lining etc out, to my surprise (and delight) I discovered that instead of rivets holding the window in, it was screws, I thanked my lucky stars and did it in about an hour.
Cheers for the help |
