Doesn't anti-stall only work in low range first and reverse? Regards, Mark |

No, that's idle jack, which is something different and doesn't apply to TD5's anyway.
Anti-stall works just fine in the high range gears. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

430 miles, 66 litres, car has done 44k, 110 SW fully standard td5, always used to get 355 from a tank, stopped driving fast, got more economical, very impressed with 29.6mpg with a lot of motorway and town driving for a big thing. Playing "how far can you get" is quite calming as you start using the bottom of the rev range only and apart from the odd bit of shunt when too optimistic about what can be managed in a high gear, it is pretty zen.

I get 29.4 on my 90 - I'd love to get 400 miles from the 90 tank though

Well I've just driven 390 miles before the fuel light and ping came on, in my 110 (standard engine) 99% of that was motorway driving with the windows open doing 70mph.
So 400 is defo possible I'll get the mpg figures for that when I next fill up Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

Well if Caterham's not telling porkies he's knocked this thread right out of the ballpark and you're all shy of approximately 50% of your achieved figures to where you need to be to make a song and a dance about it.

I'm here !!
I assumed the t5 having an extra cylinder was 20% less economical anyway - hence I'd didn't pass comment not wanting to upset anyone. did I mention I only pay £220 for my road tax? and presumably with that sort of range the td5 has a smaller tank too |
