Lost a Mud Flap

well off roading yesterday saw me short a mud flap, the rear left . its has ripped the metal of the rear arch where it used to bolt on.

question is how do i improve this situation ? can i bolt on the 90 rears onto my cross member without impeding on the exhaust?

ill remove all of remaining flaps in the mean time although i worry i might prefer it without lol.

out of interest what are your verdicts on mud flaps, fitted or no.

not sure thats what im needing, the whole bracket has been taken clean off, he flap itself is still very attached to the arm lol

infact on second looking that looks like its meant to reinforce the lip of the arch am i correct ?

2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Orkney Grey

I just lost my 2 rear mudflaps (!) to the same issue. Wheel arch broke at the fixation point. This looks like a great solution although I am now worried to tear the whole thing apart.

Is it possible to fix 90 mud flaps to a 110 (the ones that go on the cross member)?

Yes I would think it is possible to fit 90 rear mud flap brackets to a 110.

However because the rear mud flaps are now set back further then normal they may well not control water spray so effectively on a wet road.

It may be a better idea to use the strengthening/repair brackets on the body panel and drill a small hole in the bottom of the rear mud flaps and attach a baby shackle etc and just tie the rear mud flaps up onto rear bumperettes etc. when going offroad.

Happens the same to me several years ago.
1st try to straighten the tab were the mudflap is attached.
Buy a L shape 20x20x1 mm aluminium, cut in a +/- 150 mm long make an hole to put again the bolt and rivet or bolt it to the tab of the panel in 4 points.

1/2 hour work.
