I haven't written that idea off yet. But with that I wouldn't want adaptor rings. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

just wrap some tape around it and get MAN hands Thats all I do, those holders work sort of but tend to snap/bend the blade by the handle, hence me not bothering with them

Well your idea would work but I don't actually have a blade anyway. I don't think a jigsaw blade would work very well. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

When I purchased my gear, I was on my way to Sydney for a few days and thought about the 5" while I was away. On my way back home I dropped back into the audio shop and tried the 'low profile' in the Vibe range but when I offered them up to the dash I was pretty certain they were going to foul on the heater duct on the passenger side so I went the safe way, especially since the shop is 4 hours from home.

Yes it probably will, but if you ofset the center They will fit I got them in my TD5 and you defiantly have more room in a puma Steve has been debating for a long time now

Oh well, live and learn I guess. I'm happy with the sound and if I don't listen to it with a 5" I won't know . It was a matter of making a decision there and then and I wasn't too keen on cutting the dash to fit, the rear panels are cheap to replace if I stuffed them up
I did have an issue with a tweeter stopping working, sent it back got a new one. Then it stopped working, so I pulled it and found a dry solder joint, re-soldered all It was probably the issue with the first one as well Mick |

And that's Steve's concern also. We have been discussing it for about 6 months. I have not fitted any, but had a good look in a mates puma, and did not see any major dramas. Yes you would have to enlarge the hole slightly but other than that Over here going 5" gives you a far wider choice of components. I'm sure as soon as 1 person dose it others will follow. |
