Terrafirma TF835 RTC Steering Damper
Anybody fitted one of these? Thought it may help stop terrorising the wife as the steering is a little reactive to potholes now I have bigger boots. Have to say it looks a little bit... blingy though. Would prefer one in black Smile

What reason did the person who hated it have?

Glad you liked the TF. Do you have a Bilstein now? How is it better? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Fitted a terrafima rtc, pain in the arse as due to poor design the spring uncoils its self so is constantly altering the centre of the return point, making the whole thing pointless. This can be got round by fitting a jubilee clip round the spring making the blingy thing look even worse.

Fitted a OME unit now, much better Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Got the TF one also and has been on for a year. Easy to set up and adjust, but IMO could do with having a stronger pull to centre.

I wish you lot would stop talking about replacing parts I'm now getting as paranoid at Chaterham. Rolling with laughter

Went out this morning to have a look at the steering damper, found that it was well rusted on the inside sleeve and polished in parts, now ordered a new one. Another little job for the weekend. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Hi, had a TF RTC for nearly a year mainly to stop juddering in the steering which it has done. The RTC is not that intrusive whether this is by design or by poor design I have no idea. Don't tell the wife what it cost!
