How do I remove Carling switch connector?
The +ve wire has come out of the Carling switch block for my heated windscreen. How do I remove the connector thats still inside the block please? Ive crimped a new one to go back in but I cant get the old one out. Tried pushing/pulling it with pliers etc....

from the other side slide a thin metal blade between the plastic & brass connector then pull from the other side Thumbs Up theres a tiny brass locate lug there Thumbs Up

I haven't got these switch connectors on mine Shocked Shocked An engine to TDi for!

That'll be one of those relay type holders for a carling switch. From the other side you should be able to slide a thin blade screwdriver or something similar down the side of the connector to release the little clip that holds it in place then, at the same time pull it out from the back 2013 Aintree Green 110 Station Wagon SX

Done it. Thanks guys Thumbs Up

The +ve wire was touching the other connectors which I think is the cause of some strange problems I encountered yesterday, posted here....

It's just an additional block which allows you to easily unplug the switch in one go, rather than having to unplug each individual wire. The wires go into the block, and the block clips onto the back of the switch.
