United Kingdom 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Keswick Green
HARDTOP TO PICKUP
Hi all,

Fairly new to the forum so let me introduce the truck. 90" Keswick green hard top TDCi, just had a full PP3 package from Alive ( Censored me what a kit). 16" ZU wheels (black) with Insa Turbo Traction Track tyres. Totaly standered other than that.

My question is this,

The vehical is a working farm vehical and we have always had pickups arround the yard ect. I love the van to bits but would love the practicality of a pickup in the summer.
How much work is involved in turning a van to a pickup (time wise I mean, I know its just nuts and bolts)?
Will a Td5 roof and back bit fit?

Any advice greatly apreciated Smile

Regards
Josh

Hi Josh,

Probably an hour the first time and less once you've done it a couple of times. Yes, a TD5 truck cab will fit - they're all the same. You'll also need a tailboard, which is slightly more complicated as your van body won't have the fittings for the hinges and latches. Not insurmountable though, as the parts are readily available. You'll need to drill some holes to mount them. Darren
