I can only report my own experience. They have always been helpful & I have had no cause to question the quality of their workmanship. I would be interested to know more about how they tried to rip you off. was this a recent occurrence? '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci |

As I reported in a previous post, their quote for a 72k service was £176.11 cheaper than Guy Salmon (Bristol), and £76.26 cheaper than Matford (Exeter), so their prices seem to compare favourably with other 'main' dealers. Obviously, if you are not locked into a warranty, then you should expect to pay significantly less at an independent specialist. '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci |

I had a look on the Land Rover UK website, after reading your post, and they are indeed only listed as being an 'Approved Service Centre'. I assume that this has only happened fairly recently, as I can recall a couple of the new shape FFRR's being parked outside for staff training not so long ago. Interestingly, when you click on the link to the MJ Fews website, it rather confusingly still refers to sales managers, obtaining brochures, etc. '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci |

I was told that they started selling Isuzu because the end of Defender production was imminent (2013MY due to be the last that time?) and, with no direct Land Rover replacement in sight, they still wanted to be able to offer customers a commercial vehicle option.
