Stage one done, I've decided to split the car in two and do the front first then the back, mostly because I only have one set of ramps so one end is too low to get under and faff about. So stage one is from the front to just in front of the back wheel where the tie bar connects to the chassis. I've jet-washed, washed the chassis with soapy water and a sponge twice, wiped it all down with a towel, dried it with an air line, wire brushed the rusty bits and then sprayed it with rust converter. So far, it's looking pretty good IMHO...

Tomorrow I get to spray the chassis with something-or-another before putting on the final top coat. All in all, it's not too bad down there but I'm glad I'm doing it now and not later.

The nozzle thingy was rubbish, the hose kept falling off and eventually I lost the end bit in the chassis somewhere. But I squirted two litres into the chassis and caught about a litre that'd dripped out so I squirted that back in as well.

Very messy.

Thanks Grockle, I have the back end still to do so I'll give them a good looking at, maybe reinforce them somehow. Thumbs Up

One question I have, how do you get the top of the chassis rails? I've sprayed the sides, front, back side of everything but little of the top. How do you get the top?
