2005 Defender 110 Td5 HT Belize Green
How much should I ask for?
Hi all.

With an imminent house move and a new Defender on order the time has come to sell my 2004 110 TD5 SW. It is a white base spec station wagon with vinyl seats and wind up windows. Sunroof. Towbar. It has 5 Boost Alloys with good newish Grabbers. There are 5 forward facing sets with a Mobile Storage Systems cubby box. There are no rear (third row) seats present but there is a Mobile Storage Systems Long-line Store-draw Mantec Plastic snorkel. There is 5 months tax remaining and MOT till March. Bodywork has a few scuffs and scrapes but it is a tidy clean car. No rust of any consequence and it has not been used much off-road. 120k odd miles, mechanically good, lots of bills.

So, the question is, what should I ask for it? I know that summer is not the best time to sell price-wise but I would prefer to sell now rather than wait till winter.

Cheers

Chris

hi Chris,

Might be worth taking all the extras off, some people like the more standard look. Consider getting it valeted.
It's a good size family truck, I'd be looking £9-12k

td5's do sound nice Thumbs Up

Hi Chris
Truck looks nice, at least it's been used for purpose.
I could be interested if the price is right Whistle

Regards
Steve

Thanks Steve (BP MAN)

I am thinking I might remove the diff guards to use on the new one, I am tempted to remove the store-draw too but was thinking I might leave it there as a negotiating point. I am reluctant to remove the snorkel as it will leave holes behind which I would have to deal with.

As for getting it valeted, I am not sure what kind of a job they might do - it is bloody hard going getting that rubber matting clean! I might have another go at them in the cool air tomorrow morning or over the weekend...

SteveE, come see it and make me an offer in the range Steve suggested! Smile

The car has been to Morocco a couple of times, done some green lanes in the Pyrenees, Portugal and the Alps but never been thrashed through the mud in UK 'off-road' sense. It is bery clean and straight underneath.

Chris

Hello Chris....Good that you put those photos up.....you surely gave a very honest "verbal" description of the car.....but the images certainly paint a much better picture.....looks like a pretty nice vehicle.
Cheers, Pickles.
