If you want a better approx. angle ( Shocked ) then the Devon 4x4 bumpers are raised up while still looking relatively standard. Otherwise some of the tubular bumpers provide a good height too.

Have to say I like the First Four one listed above, very nice... Thumbs Up

I have a tubular winch bumper on my TD5 110, originally because it gives a better approach angle. I am also missing the winch at the moment as it is broken, no point carrying around dead weight Wink

Does your Defender have A/C with the big nose or a flat front like Bobs?

It's a flat nose non aircon (1998) like bobs, I like the look of bobs also, they seem to do a winch/bumper 'deal' at first four, what were the mods you had done bob?

You can see them better in this picture, two recovery hoops welded into/through the front face of the bumper.

Still retains the two originals underneath. Cost about £30 extra to have done. If you decide to go this route tell Peter at FF you want the same hoops as he fitted to mine, he will know what you mean Thumbs Up

I think they list one especially for a KBX grilled front as well.

They show a Husky version with a bull bar fitted. Talk to Peter as I am sure I tried my old LR bull bar against it and it would fit.

And ........ no you can't Rolling with laughter

59K on the clock and everything has now been sorted apart from a new clutch and DMF that is going in at the end of the month. Drives beautifully and is impeccable off road Thumbs Up

Slightly OT but ....does a bull bar and front spots on a bull bar impede airflow at all to an upgraded intercooler?

Bob....what colour is that 90 ? Looks like mine? 2008 TDCi 2.4 XS CSW

No real difference for day-to-day use in UK temperatures, but it is best to make sure your radiators are in top condition inside and out. Anything on the front will change the dynamics of airflow. I've run mine for two years and it hasn't had any effect on running temperature, but then the fan may have come on more often.
