It won't make any real difference to mpg unless you're anal about counting the mpg and there won't be a noise issue.
We have a LR one (essentially the same as a mantec one) and we notice no difference. ![]() |

I have a mantec one and I've not really noticed any difference. A couple of people have seen a couple of mpg drop and someone even reported a tangible BHP fall off but I've not noticed either.

the main reason to fit a RAI (not a snorkel, btw), is to prevent intake of dust in the engine and to get cooler air in, not to attempt crossing the Channel ![]() |

Howzit? Tut tut re RAI lesson! I'll give you £100 (12 gazillion Rand) if you can find a spec of dust in our British air at the moment. Most roads look like the Channel too.
