Several of us n here have had it done and it's not as expensive as you might think - window tinting. A dark tint for all rear windows is very effective as well as a lighter one up front to stay legal. Those curtains fall off, break, get lost, get in the way and are annoying in my opinion!
They are a cheap solution to the prblem though. I |

Hi,
trying to upload a pic of what a full tint does for your landi, I had the kids complaining that it was too cold inside and to turn off the air when it was over 40 C out side, http://www.flickr.com/photos/41695993@N00/4382767180/ maybe this will work and if anyone knows how to cut and paste with success let me know 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately) IN the hunt for another Puma for the wifey! 2008 Kia Sorento LX 😁 2.5crdi |

Hi Holdingpoint!!
For sure the alternative of tint the windows is the better one but as you, I dont like the tint windows. Courtains are for sure less expensive but have several drawbacks I bought this kind of courtains some time ago, but really I was unable to found a decent quality ones. The ones that I have are quite similar to the ones in the picture Main problems are: - With the sun and the dust the cups tends to go out and that is worst when you open a window. Finally you have a nice flag inside If you like to open the window You can only can cover 1/2 of the window. Finally I attached the upper part to the trim to avoid the problem when you open it, but still have the "flag" problem with the open windows - Also the velcro zip in the bottom are attached to the trim with this 3M glue that in few weeks go out. - Mechanism to roll up tends to jam Finally, still are there but no one use it Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

Just add something to complete the procedure.
To know your image address, click the right button of your mouse over the image and then select properties. There you will find the address, just copy and paste it in the post. Finally select the address and use the img button as mhill said. Cheers Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

Thanks to all guys
I think the best option are tint windows, I don't like so much because I love to keep defender exterior like original, and also because it's expensive! Any way Edoardo may I ask you if you have time to post a picture of your curtains? Thank you |

Your lucky, we have what we call The Tint Police here. If you get pulled for a randum breath test they will ticket you for your tint being to dark. I don,t think yours would be ok in west. Australia. Allan |

Where did you have yours done and how much was it? I've found a company in Birmingham that promises that theirs is "of high quality". It is also shatter proof and only costs around 200. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Yup - diamond. Have you used them? If they're reputable then I think I'll get mine and my wife's F2 done. I've got window guards in the back so I'm not paranoid about them nicking stuff from the back but keeping my son cool is a priority. Nope,
I used these guys as they were in my area: http://www.autoglaze.co.uk/ 180 with five year warranty, doesn't get any better. Didn't want rear sliders removed as would invalidate corrosion warranty with drilling required to remove frames. Autoglaze said that if I didn't like end result wouldn't have to pay and they'd remove the tint. Paid! Job done! Well happy with result. I had mine done locally here in Switzerland, for about 800 Swiss francs. I think that after the conversion to lbs, it is pretty resonable...but I did just pay over 1000 francs for the 20k km check/tune. 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately) IN the hunt for another Puma for the wifey! 2008 Kia Sorento LX 😁 2.5crdi |

sorry that it has been long getting back to you, it was north of Zurich, so probably not a very good idea to save a few bucks cheers John 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately) IN the hunt for another Puma for the wifey! 2008 Kia Sorento LX 😁 2.5crdi |
