G'day from Aus. Our current "toy" is a C63 that we bought last year with the Performance pack....358KW, SLS engine innards, big brakes, L.S.D. etc etc....VERY fast.... 0-100 4.4 & 0-400 12.4.....of course, there's faster...but it's PLENTY for us.....handles beautifully....and it's practical! 6.2L of AMG Muscle is pretty good...Have a drive.....and see what you think. Cheers, Pickles. |

Congrats DLK
![]() Driving a 911 is surely unique, with the boxer 6 pushing you from behind. It's also a massive money saving thing, no bull5hit to bolt on, and if you buy the right one, the dash is already leather and the roof lining is suede ![]() Quids in ![]() |

I still want a 911, if I get the 550 it'll be an advert for Farrows Classics trimming.

Well, leather upholstery was not standard in a 993! look at this one... http://nl.autoscout24.be/Details.aspx?id=234665487&asrc=st
It's the first and only 993 I found that did not have leather inside... Also the dashboard is just plastic in the standard trim. The one I bought has the full leather interior pack and than the dash is leather aswell. Most of the ones I looked at and found online only have leather seats. Believe me, there is more than enough stuff to buy for a 993. Not as much as you can for a defender but still... What big show are you talking about? LR or Porsche?

Have you ever driven a Cayman 'S'?
If not, try driving one back to back with a 911, the Cayman feels more planted and somehow just feels better on the road, although the 911's have the upper edge on being 'the Porsche' to have, then you could 'upgrade at some stage in the future? Just a suggestion, but if your minds made up, best of luck. |
