The step in your first pic above is a genuine parts step as well - it doesn't have any brackets that go under the rear cross member so I'd agree that it should fit. John

I will get the Mantec as I have a NAS step too. Are these guards corrosion resistant both sides? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. I have a NAS step, & wondered if Paddock's own guard http://www.paddockspares.com/pm748-def-90-...steel.html would fit a 08 Puma with the step. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. The manyec one does fit with the drop plate towing gear if you modify the guard as i found out last year when i fitted mine. from memory it required about 1" from each side to be removed to enable the support bars to be fitted 2004 TD5 Defender 90 xs station wagon

Cheers, did you just cut off the excess with a grinder? Have you got a picture of it you could post please?
