Update guys
Been to main dealers today
With info from Mike saying I should have a leather Xs wheel.
They went on computer And said yes xs should have leather wheel,
Then went on to build sheet and said your build says rubber wheel ,
To which I said no chance and referred to Jeremy's posts Thumbs Up
About wrong wheels on Xs spec models etc and all they need now is to
Get an email from Mike to say go ahead and I'll be the proud owner of
An xs spec defender with the correct steering wheel.

Will keep you posted
Steve

Hi guys
I've got to say that the Customer relations system is alive and working Thumbs Up

Mike has been true to his word and sorted my new steering wheel in leather Laughing

I had alot of hassle with main dealers with respect to me having to get Mike to email them etc which Mike did with no hessitation.

The only hassle I've had today is the main dealer telling me it's being done as a good will gesture by land rover and not
Due to the fact they didn't build it correctly in the first place even though it's a great 13 my car and the four on the forecourt all have the leather wheels. Banging Head Banging Head Banging Head

It seems with any problems its the customers fault and it's only being sorted as customer good will and not the fact they can't put a car together properly.

A massive thanks to Mike whom without his help I would of been driven to make a formal complaint.

I agree mike has been very true to his word and also started the help process for me, he as spoken to my dealer about my missing wheel and I'm waiting for them to finalise things so I can get it fitted to my XS as it should have been.

Fingers crossed it won't be long before Landrover and my dealer get it sorted of who is paying for it and ill get my wheel fitted.

Thanks for the help so far Mike its really appreciated.

Pete.

Well just as Mike advised me my dealer will contact me for the wheel to be fitted on my car. Sure enough they called me today and tomorrow morning I get the wheel from my dealers.

I know their are many options of a support channel/process for the Landrover brand but I have to say Mike has made my experience painless and effortless in getting my issue resolved in a simple and short process.

I spoke to my dealers a few weeks ago and things were at a stand still with the only thing left to do and call customer support direct, UNTILL Mike stepped in and resolved the problem in no time at all.

Mike, thank you very very much for your superb customer support and efficient dealing with my problem. It is really nice to know and have people like you Jeremy who do really care about the JLR customers and are so willing to step up to the mark and help where needed.

Greatly appreciated, Pete

Looks like one for Mike......

If/when you do buy a new pump... the "defender" ones are always £100 or so more expensive than the discovery spec ones.

But... the only difference is the float arm... and it just unclips. so save youself some money, get the disco pump, and spend about 30 seconds unclipping the defender arm and clipping it to the new disco pump Thumbs Up

Why the price difference?
