To those that have done it (or know about it) how complex is putting a V8 (let's assume a GM LS3) into a Puma based Defender? Is there a specific transmission and driveshaft upgrade etc....
Just wondering ![]() Stu |

You must have a need to buy lots of petrol, as from experience they get thru it at an alarming rate (well in my110 it does) So i have just pulled it and am fitting a diesel, but not the dismal landrover defender options , a BMW 3litre , which will give the V8 performance without the fuel penalty.
If your deadset on a V8 then would suggest auto behind it , as the manuals (apart fromLt85) will be marginal on dealing with it for any length of time JMHO |

i had more pleasure from a remapped td5 with sports exhaust than i did from my old 50th anniversay with a blueprinted 5 litre v8.
