United Kingdom 2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Tonga Green
Mods done on my Defender which LR should have had as OE.
Looking at the humble mods I've had done, & am planning for my Defender, most I'd have opted for as OE.

1) Taller wheels/bigger arches (done)
2) Sensibly placed accessory sockets, inc 1 in rear (in a Puma, 1 OE only by 5th gear position) (done)
3) Plate steering guard instead of a bar (done)
4) Bigger door mirrors (done)
5) Stowage net pockets (soon)
6) Steel lockable cubby box (soon), glove compartment.
7) Reversing & fog light both sides (done)
8 ) H4 headlamp bulbs (done)
9) Safari door gas door stay strut (soon)
10) Disc hand brake type (soon) Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

My top3 are:

smaller steering wheel
seat rail extension
raising the cubby box
(all that makes the driving position for the taller ones acceptable.)
a reversing camera is such a nice thing for town traffic.
Din2 - radio mounting bracket

not sure the disc-hand-brake serves well as an OE fitment. Would consider it as a "nice to have".
Completely on your side regarding the wheels and power sockets.
Didnīt get the rear door gas strut for my rig, as Iīm unsure if it helps when there is another car parking closely

England 1998 Defender 90 300 Tdi PU Rutland Red
Properly strong front and rear recovery points.
Head lamps that actually work well at night.
Variable suspension like you got on daihatsu fourtraks so it can be comfy when empty but still able to carry heavy loads or tow.
Finally a comparable petrol engine to the diesel not even a v8 a 6 would do. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

What is the disc hand brake - I thought the hand brake on the Defender was of the disc type (i.e. there are no drums on my Defender)

All traditional Landrovers (i.e, Defender type) have a handbrake drum mounted on the rear output flange of the transfer box.
