Hi Kitoper, quick one from Vienna airport on way back to Geneva. Now that I see your pictures it is clear that these guys have really double "Zagged" your truck. Mine had a fantastic Dinitrol job done in far away Belgium because at that time I could not find these guys in Basel, but now that I have seen yours in real life on monday, I will give them a call to check and redo mine where required .
The way yours is leaking Dinitrol all over now means that I will have to be careful in our office parking. Instead of driving, I may be slipsliding in and out of my parking place. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Hello Eric, As I read your post, I was smiling ear to ear. I can confirm that as I have gone through my Landy and inspected, I see Dinitrol everywhere;
the bumpers, rear cross member, the accessories, the rivets, the rain gutters, etc. In the sun, (not like we have had much of that in Switzerland:)) it runs a little so I have a cloth in the rear to do clean ups - but I was told this was normal and a sign that they had not skimped on the Dinitrol I am attaching a couple of pictures taken during our drive up there to remind you of how pleasant it was Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I have also included some pics of the two gentlemen who had adopted my truck and were treating it like their own: Click image to enlarge Clean up Click image to enlarge and last, the exterior of the garage where we can see that this place has been in business and in the same family for over 75 years. This evening, my impatience got the better of me and I installed the Nolden headlights I recevied from Nakatanenga. Below are two pics with one side being Nolden Led and the other the original Wipac. Can you tell which is which? In the daylight tomorrow I will take some pictures and show you what they look like on the Landy.
Pics were taken with my smartphone so not the best, but they give you an idea of the improvement. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Hello Cakey, I am not too sure where you can find a Fire and Ice but in both Switzerland and Germany, you can find the Hunter or Blaser one made for the Swiss market and the later for the German. They are more or less the same vehicles however. I am delighted with my 110- I am surprised at the comfort of the drive - I would not take it on the track but for a long drive to a hunt, I would not hesitate. I don't need to sell the space it provides, the 110 does that all by its big self |

I have one ICE here, though she's quiet dirty at the moment Click image to enlarge Sorry, just kidding, will hold it forever! I don't think the Hunters were available in the UK, but there are three Blaser/Hunter editions for sale here in Germany right now, they even come with the steering wheel on the correct side! Don't know how difficult it is to change the wheel to the incorrect side: http://suchen.mobile.de/auto/land-rover-de...itCountry= and a few Fire&Ice models: http://suchen.mobile.de/auto/land-rover-de...itCountry= Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

I look forward to see them in the flesh and do a side by side test Nolden vs. Speaker this coming week! You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Unless someone decides that we have to call the Fire Brigade again..... You never actually own a Defender. What a weekend - if we can call it that although alls well that ends well I just took my dog out for a walk in the field below the house and she sniffed out a fox and the chase ensued. The instinct of both dog and fox was fantastic to watch.

Will you be posting up some images of the "side by side" comparisons, & making a "judgement"? Cheers, Pickles. |

For Pickles and others interested, the Nolden/Speaker comparison we initally started discussing here was continued here:
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic21619.html The next mod to be done on the Hunter is going to be the rear wheel swing carrier from Nakatanenga. |
