I think they are the same, doors fit, & if you modify the screen hinges, you can fit a series 2/3 screen and roof onto a defender and vice versa.

There's nothing like evolution rather than revolution, kept the design the same so they could put all their efforts into quality of build, anti corrosion, leak proofing etc - don't we just love them. Keith |

Thanks all got a 200 mile trip on sat to collect a roof tent and patriot bars which were on a series so fingers crossed

Series and 90/110 roofrack will interchange.
Like Walfy says, the front of the roof is different between series and coilers.... series are "flat", coilers are curved at the edges. Although we used to have a 110 at my old unit with a series roof on it... along with about half a tub of dumdum to fill in the gaps. |

Probably a daft question and getting off topic but when and why did Land Rover stop the "tropical" double-skinned roof? 1970 Series 2A 88"

With the intro of coil springs. Ie 110 didnt have a safari roof option but you could still buy an 88" Series 3 Station Wagon with one
