That sounds like the MAF on its' way out. Had a similar thing on a DII where it would miss or stutter every now and then, and a new MAF cured it. Darren

The MAF is just after the air filter box, it has two clips holding it on to the air filter box and a jubilee clip the other side, and one connector on the side at the top, easy to find/deal with.
It does sound like a MAF. If it is and it needs replacing, get one from alive, they are cheaper than dealers and are uprated units Andy |
