Removed the Webasto heater, replaced the faulty coolant pump with shiny new one and then slotted it all back together.
All working fine but now needs a new length of exhaust pipe because the old stainless one was split in several places - easy job to do later when the stuff I've just ordered arrives. Also experimented with Halfords (yeah I know) truck-bed liner paint on a hidden bit of the ARB winch bumper. If it looks good tomorrow morning I'll do the entire thing. It's already got three coats of POR-15 on it so this is just a top-coat. Dave Green Goddess - 1998 Defender 110 300tdi |

Here we go. Rear 50 amp Anderson connector with dust cap. Mounted to a bit of ally plate attached using the bolt that holds the rear tow bracket in place Kill switch inside the rear of the Defender mounted to the metal box that covers the rear wiring cluster. To be replaced by a relay and a switch on the dashboard at some point Click image to enlarge With boot to keep the dirt out. The wires will get some split tubing over them to stop them rubbing on the chassis. Click image to enlarge 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I've fitted my Defender 3D rear Badge, fitted my D-Defender wheel arch spats, partially built the ICE shelf behind the rear Seats on the DC.
Still got to fit my New Kenwood head unit though, just building up the enthusiasm to tackle it |

Not a good day! Set off to go to Chatsworth House and got just north of Coventry when my Alternator decided it didn't want to play anymore. Turned to head for home and on the way back the alternator managed to destory the serpentine belt. Lost all power steering and decided to admit defeat. Made the rest of the journey home on the back of a flatbed in shame.
Now just got to wait until Tuesday for a new belt and alternator from Adventure 4x4 to arrive. |
