The 'extra' portion with the slots is to make a snug fit dependant on floor covering. i.e. If you have rubber floor mats. Why are people so concerned about the pedal lock 'banging you on the swede' if things go wrong? If you're in such an impact where the pedal lock is likely to hit you on the bonce maybe you should hire someone to carry out a Risk Assessment or a Viability Survey before even buying one. Obviously the fact the Defender hasn't an airbag in sight has a p**s poor safety rating doesn't even enter into it then?
FFS....In such circumstances I think the last of your worries would be where your pedal lock is stashed? Buy a crash helmet, grow a pair or fill the car with polystyrene flopak for accident driver/passenger protection! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I know you weren't bothered by being struck Strang but there were other 'Doom Mongerer's that were. I agree totally about the storage space in a 90 it is tight. I haven't looked of late but I was under the impression the X-Eng gear lever lock also didn't fit the Puma. With all the thefts that are publicised I think I'd invest in the gear lever lock too if it were. I have the barrel lock fitted and that was a good investment. Better to have limited room after stashing your security devices than returning to no truck at all perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I got an ard'case last week. Seems really good. Easy to fit and fits under the back seats when not in use, nice and easy.

AGREE Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I posted on Shire Fabrications Facebook page and asked coincidentally if they had any deals/sales on. I immediately got a reply on how many do I need so I guess if somebody is willing to contact them and arrange a group buy I'm sure a deal can be had. I'm in

Only clamps round the pedals from the pic. A thief might cut through the softer metal pedal shafts & drive away on the stumps. We have the 'ardcase in stock. Yes I can hear Barbara groan, 'not more items to put on webshop!'
We had some issues fitting an 'ardcase on our white 90. It seems that we have a LHD pedal box fitted to our RHD 90! Yes figure that one out! The lads at 'ardcase were great hoping us out to solve the problem. Brendan |
