Good choice draymond, my iDA-X305 arrived today Very Happy

I'm looking to have a go at fitting mine on the weekend, the main question that springs to mind is - is there somewhere obvious that everybody has their iPod connector exiting from behind the dash?

Would you adam and eve it, just had a quote for the same radio, will be putting my iPod touch on the left hand side of the dash clipping a Brodit mount to it. Thumbs Up

Peter, have you decided yet on where to fit your iPod, was going to attach mine on the left hand side of the dash with a brodit mount but I'm having second thoughts, is the iPod connection cable from the Alpine long enough to fit in the cubby box. Cogito ergo sum

Hi Paul, ive replaced my headunit with an Alpine and the cable is long enough, i just wanted it out of the way of prying eyes, therefore the cubby box seamed the best solution, i have a Mobile storage cubby that allows you to channel the cable underneath and up into the dash Thumbs Up You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things

Hi Paul, I ended up putting it in the cubby box too. This works nicely in that the iPod is hidden out of view (as you don't need to touch it with the Alpine unit controlling it) and also it was the easiest option just to route the iPod cable through the gap at the bottom of the dashboard and then straight under the rubber mat (carpet if you've got a posh one). Peter
