Knowing Mr Digby Clarke @ TMFLR quite well I would think he'd be horrified you haven't spoken to him personally to air you're concerns, he's a great guy with a top reputation to uphold. Call him and arrange a visit, I'm sure if your not satisfied with you're treatment he will rectify it immediately.

I remember reading sometime ago about a firm that had been caught by Trading Standards, I forget the location, spraying white spirit, paint thinners and Black paint colouring onto cars instead of the proper stuff. |

Just to be clear, I'm not saying I'm dissatisfied with what they've done. They did miss a small area but it is very small. I'm going to check inside the chassis to satisfy myself that a thorough job has been done but don't want anyone to get the impression I'm complaining at this point. The outside looks pretty good in the main.

I have about mine and even though there is a 5 year guarantee they still say they have done nothing wrong. |

I agree with Stevie D, it's not a massive job to do yourself, just laborious and messy.
I did my previous 90 last year, took 2 weeks to clean and dry it all properly (and I mean every bit of muck) to the extent of washing and drying 3/4 times, wire brushing, poking screwdrivers and coat hangers into places to shift crud, washing/drying again, let it dry thoroughly in the sun, on a slope, wire brushing again, painting joints with etch primer, 2 coats of spray primer, then top a coat of Waxoyl, even then I'm sure I've missed the odd bit here and there. Flippin messy job but I'm glad I did it myself. With the best will in the world, I doubt very much if as much work has been done for £500, I'm sure they've done a decent job for the money/time allocated, I'd give them the chance to have a look at it, tell them your not 100% sure it's been 'totally' covered and I'm sure they'd patch up any bits they've missed, as long as it's dry when they do it'll be fine. Don't feel bad taking something back and pointing out a few bits here and there, I'm sure they'd be fine with it, it keeps people on their toes! |
