Dgardel,

For those that just 'tinker' or get others to do the work for them on their Land Rovers chequer plate serves no real purpose except perhaps for looks. As you know I have chequer plate and have found it a Godsend for kneeling/leaning on for access, using as a convenient workbench and of course a coffee table. It is really down to personal choice and only you can make it. Ignore the usual scoffers and scorners as I'm sure there will be a few! Unfortunately for you mine is silver.

Off Topic Sorry Dgardel.....

Pope lovely truck with Mach 5s if I am correct. Are they standard driveshaft end member flanges or aftermarket? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
