Just been into Stratstone this afternoon myself. LR finance on a PCP is 5.9% APR. Stratstone offer 3.2% APR using the LR finance but recoup the difference by giving a smaller discount....Heads I win, tails you lose.
On the other hand, they started by wanting to offer me a 110XS station wagon for September delivery for £31.5k but changed this to £30.3K when I said that was way off what I was looking for. I took the written quote and they know that I will be phoning around and visiting dealerships this week and will make a decision shortly afterwards so I might be able to squeeze a bit more discount. Any experts out there who can recommend a dealership that can beat this offer? I won't get an NFU discount and will be buying privately. 1970 Series 2A 88" |

if your willing to wait 3 months, try paul at direct vehicle sales in ripon. gets delivered straight to your door, dont have to meet him or go there, i live the other end of the country, never meet him! my 13my 130 full spec was cheaper than those prices with 2.2% fixed over 4 years.

I tried ringing Ripon a couple of months ago, best I could get was 7 to 8%.
So far today, got an quote for £29 987on 5.9%APR over 3 years, PCP. This works out at 9.1% discount. If they really do only have 10% in the car that seems pretty good but I am now ringing around to try to beat it. Amazing how the dealers sit up and pay attention when you say you can put a depost down today for the right deal. First offer was 31.5K yesterday, quickly revised to 30.4k when I said this. Today when I said it had to start with a "2", they didn't laugh out loud. Looks like it might be down to whatever other inducements may be on offer, e.g. 2 years servicing (my wife got this FOC for her FL2). Any other suggestions? 1970 Series 2A 88" |

at 5.9 % finance you need to take into consideration the total deal, at 2.2 from ripon that would massively help turn that 7-8% discount into 9-10% depending on how much you borrow.

You do have to be a bit careful with discounts and % . I would always do the maths and cost all the deals in £ and pence to see which one is the cheapest.
Make sure you look out for admin charges and document fees when comparing the whole cost. The cheapest overall should win . |

Did the deal today. Good % discount, full tank of fuel and first annual service FOC.
With a 20% deposit, on a PCP, APR difference not significant since not financing the whole amount. 1970 Series 2A 88" |

Factory order but have been assured it will arrive on 1st Sept
Will sell the daily driver when I get a delivery date. If there is then a delay, it will be a good excuse to use the S2A Thanks to all for the helpful posts, they have made a real difference. 1970 Series 2A 88" |
