After passing 2 weeks of following (not always following)other 4x4s' on dusty roads etc, the amount of dust entering the cab was too much to say the least. We came up with a temporary solution to reduce the dust, very basic, a piece of T Shirt under the air intake. Kind of worked.
So I've been searching the sites and came across the D44 Cab Filter, has any one tried it? Does it work? http://www.devon4x4.com/index.php?page=sho...;Itemid=14 Cheers |

I have one which i use in the UAE desert and it is very good. I would suggest getting the pollen filter as well, as its a finer filter it keeps a lot more of the dust and sand out of the air in the cabin. Its a really good mod and in my opinion really worth the money.

How about fitting on top of the vent if you have chequer plate wing tops like mine does? $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

The cab filter requires no drilling and is compatible with most chequer plate wing tops. DJ 1989 200tdi 90 csw 2011 110 usw Orkney grey Buy British 🇬🇧 Defender Clothing Designs available at http://www.rangesports.com/acatalog/Defender-Stuff.html |

I assume it fits and seals around the same edge and diameter as the original? I just thought I'd ask as the CP obviously is proud of the actual wing and not flush. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Yes Steve it does. The bottom half bolts into e original holes, the filter then goes over the top and then the top half bolts onto the bottom half sandwiching the filter..

Thanks for the feedback, looks like something else on the purchase list for the next trip.

Fitted the cab filter yesterday, not really required in winter but ready for the next trip to Morocco.
It also comes with 4 extra filters in red, green, blue and yellow. There's no gasket with it which I would have expected and as I have the chequer plate I put a bead of gasket sealer around the edge of the mating plate. Click image to enlarge |
