Fuel Pressure Regulator: cheap fix?
Hi,

My fuel pressure regulator has started to leak on my 2003 110 TD5. A complete replacement unit with pipes etc would cost about £130.

However, I have seen on e-bay the main part of the regulator unit that I understand usually causes the offence for around £25 (rated to 4 bar). I was wondering about purchasing this and marrying it upto some OE landrover o-rings and gaskets for a satisfactory fix. Comments please!

Cheers,

Rob

If the leaking is only going out, and there is no pressure loss (no power loss) then the Orings will do the trick, but buy the best ones. cheap ones will not last. Augusto

After calling around, the price I have seems fairly standard for a complete unit.
Hence I'm wondering whether this eBay valve I've seen for £25 is of use?

ajps72 - no loss of power noted, thanks for the tip.

Thanks Simon. The part advertised on eBay appears to have no assigned number on your PDF file. It sits just to the left of the number 13!

Excuse my ignorance but what's a viton o ring?

Cheers,

Rob
