I ended up with quite a few scribblings too.
Your diodes will need to be the same wattage as the incandescents obviously to maintain circuit impedance.  If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Morning Steve,
Which is virtually impossible to do unless you festoon your vehicle with enough LEDs to resemble Santa's friggin' Grotto. It was just the mention of maintaining the BBUS circuit impedence that got me my pen, paper and calculator out for you. I don't think you've any worries whatsoever.

Mal you make me laugh.
 I know exactly what you mean I was thinking exactly the same thing.  I don't think I will be going quite that mad with it. Perhaps at Christmas though.

Mal - Sorry for all the questions, but do you think it would be worth fusing this with say a 2A fuse (I have some to hand) currently I haven't fused it as I've used 11A rated wire and the interior lights are 10A fused anyway. But would it be a good idea do you think to put in a lower rated 2A fuse in? By this I mean in-line to the circuit I'm adding not back at the fuse box....

Done a little more today but not fully fitted quite yet.

Steve not sure of the final configuration for your circuitry but by using the following formulas you can work out the best fuse for your use. Power (Watts) = Voltage (12v obviously) X Current (Amps) Therefore by transposing the above you can work out the others. For example Power divided by voltage = current and power divided by current = voltage. The same rules can be applied to this formula too.... Voltage (12) = Current (Amps) X Resistance (Ohms) In both cases you only need two values to work out the third.
Sorry if this is teaching you to suck eggs but they are the most useful formulas and I put them to 'good use' many times each week in my job.  If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Quite the opposite Mal it's useful info to learn actually.
The total draw for all the items I'm going to be adding will be less than 1A but the lighting system is fused at 10A. (So I understand) I was just thinking that adding a lower rated fuse may be a good idea to protect the wiring that I'm adding in. Not just for safty's sake but it would mean if there was a problem with any of the items I'm adding the fuse should blow being lower rated than the 10A fuse for the whole system.
In theory I am trying to say that say a 2A fuse will blow before the 10A thus leaving the interior lights still working but cutting the power to the items I'm adding. Protecting what I'm adding separately. Am I correct in thinking this? TheThunder Rollsπ¬π§πΊπΈ

Well at least you can't say I'm trying to bodge it Mal. I do have some 2A blade fuses to hand and and a holder. Trouble is with the holders I have spare is they are a scotch type one blue I assume you will guess the type I mean?...
Think I will try and get a prewired better quality one I think.
*edit* I could go down to a 1A fuse really but I can't find 1A standard blade fuses too easy and the in-line glass cartridge type's and holders I'm not really a fan of. Had one previous and binned it as the little ferker kept on giving a poor connection and causing problems as the holder was loose.   TheThunder Rollsπ¬π§πΊπΈ

It's a wonder he's not trying to sell you the whole kit and kaboodle, LEDs, fuseholders, wire, fuses blah, blah, blah! Gone quiet on that front too, thankfully!
Steve if you've a Maplins in your area they do quite good in-line 20mm fuseholders, no soldering involved just a small screwdriver needed. They'll have the fuses too. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
