Hi, i know this has been covered before, but what i need and can't find is a copy of the technical bulletin LTB00078v2/2007.
does anyone have a copy????? 2007 110 Utility - only bought it 3 days ago I've looked at the cables - all appear to be OK, the earth on the battery is good and the connection to the chassis & engine appears fine. lights come on after a few minutes driving - can't pin it down to speed / turning / bumps etc. Any ideas much appreciated... The usual causes are a poorly seated sensor, chaffed cables or worn wheel bearings. A diagnostic tool of some description can narrow it down to a particular wheel so you know where to look. Darren

I assume that's Macrae & Dick in Inverness ??? Good guys - they'll get you sorted Tough trip though, a whole tank of diesel for a repair... Did you get a LR warranty? could you call Land Rover Assistance to save the diesel? Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

unfortunately not- it came from Lix Toll in Perthshire - I'm just waiting for them to call me back - I emailed them a list of problems with it that I have discovered after only having it since friday... time to find out if they are a good dealer - i do hope so. and thanks K9F - i've seen the other posts regarding the same problem, that what lead me to check wiring / earths etc. Series IIa Lightweight - Long Gone Discovery 1 300Tdi - Sold Defender 110 XS 07MY Utility |

well - it's back at Lix Toll, they are having it for a couple of days as there are other issues.
one thing I did notice today, was that after I filled up with diesel, the ABS & TC light took a lot longer to appear????? Series IIa Lightweight - Long Gone Discovery 1 300Tdi - Sold Defender 110 XS 07MY Utility |

Mine was 'weather dependant' itnitially the fault only occured when the conditions were wet which then provided an electrical path for the cable to ground to earth. As time progressed the fault manifested itself more and more as the chafed cable got worse. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Garage have just phoned to say that they can't find a problem with it - they have checked the wiring, the sensors, earths etc as per the technical bulletin - all OK EXCEPT the lights keep coming on! with nothing logged in the computer - they are phoning LR in the morning to see what else it could be.
Hope this get resolved soon as I paid a lot of money for a car that I've owned for 12 days and for 6 of those it's been back in the garage At least my trusty old 300TDi Disco is keeping me mobile. Series IIa Lightweight - Long Gone Discovery 1 300Tdi - Sold Defender 110 XS 07MY Utility |
