Yep, you're probably right, I guess I was a bit too quick to assume it'd been stolen I made a temporary one from black styrene sheet whilst waiting for the new one to arrive, and held it in place using the screws that hold the inner plastic moulding, maybe LR should do the same! I've kept the temporary one anyway .......... just in case! Cheers! |

Tony - I started to think the opposite way after hearing of yours - wondered if it fell off after someone had tried to nick it! Did yours have all the plastic pegs snapped off and left in the wing like mine? if not then maybe yours was carefully removed and stolen? |

the bottom of my side vent is no longer flush with the bodywork - assumed it was LR's new build quality regime

Hi Supacat,
Yes, mine was exactly the same, all the pegs broken off flush. I thought someone had tried to prise it off and broken the pegs in the process, but then when I bought the new one and realised how loose the pegs are I started to think otherwise. It's a pretty poor idea for something which is mounted vertically, as you said a couple of self tappers would do the trick. If it happens again I'll put the home made one back on and leave it on. Cheers! |

Mine fell off at te car wash and I made the washers pay for the LRS corsetti one
http://www.lrsshop.co.uk/content/cor4-air-intake-grill The screws are top notch but I didn't want to riv nut the area so just pop riveted it. So easy even for an office boy like myself.
