Just because the indicators are flashing it does not mean the battery has been changed, it could be low and causing problems with the immobilser.
I would be very surprised if your starter motor is falling to bits, I think you may have more symptoms than just one failure to start Change the battery and eliminate that as a cause Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

checked the batteries and they are different and I'm sure they'd have been the safe from the factory.
I reckon all is good and I'll just keep a check on things (can't really understand why it would start but I'm hoping it was just a blip - excuse the pun) here's to wishful thinking |

Battery change in the remote fobs is part of the " B " service, ie: every 2 years.
Of course you have to remind the Dealer and supply the 2 fobs. LANDYWATCH Neighbourhood Watch for Land Rover Owners http://www.landywatch.co.uk/smf2/index.php |
